Mike Smith is the world's foremost authority on aerial sports photography. A former private pilot, he has been taking photos of stadiums via helicopter since 1991. Smith's aerial image of Memorial Stadium was taken during its final major league game (Tigers vs. Orioles) on October 6, 1991.
