Art Clarkson owned the Birmingham Barons in 1987. "Much as I love the place, it's coming apart," he said at the time of Rickwood Field. Things have changed since then. The ballpark now looks great, but the Barons are no longer in Birmingham. Clarkson moved them to nearby Hoover in 1988.
