2008 World Series Victory Celebration at Citizens Bank Park
The scene was quite a scene shortly after the final pitch of the 2008 World Series. In a clarity as crisp as the memorable October night, this poster captures the celebratory aftermath that ensued when the Phils' Brad Lidge struck out Tampa Bay's Eric Hinske, thereby making the Phillies World Series champions.
Preserving the jubilation of October 29th forever, this vivid panorama fully captures the euphoria of that night. With fireworks bursting in the Philadelphia sky, the Phillies are seen celebrating their second ever World Championship on the Citizens Bank Park infield while their famed mascot, the Phillie Phanatic, is waving a championship flag at home plate. You can read the congratulatory messages on the ballpark's scoreboards and see the large banner that was unfurled from the center field hitter's backdrop. Every detail is here, even the umpires walking off the field in unison and security personnel arriving via bike. But the focus is truly on the celebration, both on the field and in the stands, where 45,940 Phillies fans can be seen going crazy and partying like it was 1980!

First Pitch at Citizens Bank Park
The first-ever pitch thrown at Citizens Bank Park was captured mid-flight in this panoramic poster. The date was April 12, 2004, the Cincinnati Reds were the inaugural opponent, and Randy Wolf's pitch to D'Angelo Jimenez was delayed a half-hour due to unpleasant weather.
Despite the rain, wind and cold - it was 48 degrees with 17 MPH wind gusts at fist pitch - nothing could dampen the glory of the Phillies' new ballpark, which is viewed in perfect clarity in this poster. You can see fans wearing ponchos and holding umbrellas, read the line-ups on the scoreboard, and gain an appreciation for the beauty of the ballpark that replaced the Phillies' previous home, the sterile Veterans Stadium.
With the flags blowing to the east and Philadelphia's corner infielders anticipating a bunt, Jimenez took Citizens Bank Park's first pitch for a strike and a new era of Phillies baseball had begun.
